Caitlin was born and raised in Perrysburg, Ohio and is a Perrysburg High School alumni. She attended Miami University of Ohio and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. Following this, she obtained a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from West Liberty University. Caitlin is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a member of Michigan Dermatology Physician Assistants and Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, for which she is currently working to become a Diplomate fellow. Locally, she is also a member of EPIC Toledo.
Prior to working in dermatology, Caitlin worked as a Physician Assistant in orthopedics. She moved back to Perrysburg in 2016 where she began practicing at Mitchell Dermatology. Developing a strong passion for medical dermatology she has gained extensive knowledge in eczema and psoriasis including biologics, skin cancer diagnosis and removal, and acne. As a provider, she enjoys seeing patients of all ages with a diverse array of skin conditions.
Outside of work, her love for medicine and helping others continues. When not studying dermatology, she is interested in learning about wellness, disease prevention and the role of functional medicine with conventional medicine today. Along with this, Caitlin is very involved in Make-A-Wish, working to grant the wishes of local children with life threatening illnesses. She is also actively involved in Special Olympics Ohio. In her spare time she enjoys running and exercise, spending time with her family and friends, and cuddling with her labradoodle puppy. Lastly, growing up in NW Ohio Caitlin developed a love for Cleveland sports and the Ohio State Buckeyes and will often be found watching them. Go Tribe!
